Welcome to Metal Invader

Demos : Amorphead - Psychotic (Ep)

(self financed) Total Time: 21.21

Our neighbor country Italy is responsible for “this” one, and may the lord and god of hospitality and respect Zeus forgive my bad manors, but who wouldn’t be as bored, wordless or stonily indifferent as my self once getting to listen to this shaggy EP? Having set that one clear, I may proceed to the following information concerning the band… AMORPHEAD was formed in October 2007 by Giorgio Faini (drummer) and Luigi Randazzini (bassist) in Calabria of Italy and after a long and boring to analyze process of line-up changes the band hit the studio in July 2009 and recorded this “not for nuts” masterpiece EP entitled “Psychotic”. Unfortunately not even one out of its six tracks could capture my interest, not to mention my courtesy. It is not only the messed up synthesis, or the average music skills of the members of AMORPHEAD, but it’s the whole unremarkable way of the band to be at its best passable. Their musical style moves between death, thrash and sometimes metal-core but really has no specific identity. The production is poor, a fact that certainly cannot be a helpful hand for our Italian champions and of course the EP is self released. Maybe it’s aimless to describe how disappointed and fed to the teeth is the average “metalhead” of 2010 by hearings like this one, takin’ into account the plethora of such music suggestions…Maybe we ought to give them a little time and be patient…After all not all of those promising young musicians have “the pick of destiny”!
